A decent proposal: Allianz Arena to become Beckenbauer Stadium

Germany is grieving for Franz Beckenbauer, its biggest football legend, and the first proposals have already started to arrive so that football in that country can repay Kaiser Franz.

This morning, Beckenbauer's teammate from the national team and bitter rival from the most glorious days of Mönchengladbach - Berti Vogts, suggested that the national cup should be named after him. And now the former coach of Bayern, Ottmar Hitzfeld, made the following proposal:

"Franz has given so much to Bayern along with Gerd Müller, Uli Hoenness, Sepp Mayer and Karl Heinz Rummenigge that it would be good to have the stadium named after him. He is the greatest of all time in Germany, he has achieved everything that can be achieved and he deserves such an honor ", said Hitzfeld.

It is certain that the fans would gladly accept this proposal, however, in that case, Bayern would have to give up a large amount of money, since in 2006 they signed a 30-year contract with Allianz, which gave them the right to name the stadium that way.

Allianz is a multinational financial services company and it is hard to believe that they will accept a mutual termination of the contract that is in force until 2036.
