The forward scored four goals in the group stage this season.

Al Duhail, home to Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga, will face off with fellow Qatari side Al Rayyan in the Round of 16 of the AFC Champions League set for February next year.

While Duhail finished top of Group D to book an automatic spot in the last 16, Al Rayyan finished as the best losers with 13 points and thus were one of the three teams that advanced to the knockouts.

Both teams lost a match each, with Al Rayyan's draw seeing them finish with 13 points while Duhail finished with 15.

The Kenyan managed four goals at the group stage, three against Sepahan in both legs including a brace in the second leg and a goal against Pakhtakor Tashkent in the 3-0 win.

Last season, Olunga had scored five more goals in the competition and ended up finishing as the top scorer in that edition and was subsequently included in the team of the season.

This season, the former Gor Mahia forward is sitting a distance fifth on the scoring chart, with his teammate Edmilson Junior leading the chart with eight goals after the group stage matches.

However, there have been reports linking the Kenyan out of the club to Europe, and it remains to be seen whether he will still be with Duhail next year in February.
