The draw extended AFC Leopards’ winless run to two matches, following their shocking 2-0 defeat to Mara Sugar, a loss that ended their impressive 14-match unbeaten streak carried over from last season
AFC Leopards recorded a significant financial boost despite being held to a frustrating0-0 draw by Murang’a Seal at the Nyayo Stadium on Sunday.
In a detailed update released on their official communication channels, the 12-time Kenyan champions announced they had sold 5,418 tickets, marking one of their strongest matchday turnouts this season.

Of these, 4,950 were regular terrace tickets, priced at Kshs 300, while 468 were VIP tickets retailing at Kshs 500 per piece.
The impressive turnout translated into a sizeable windfall, as the club collected Kshs 1,485,000 from terrace sales and an additional Kshs 234,000 from the VIP section.
In total, Ingwe pocketed Kshs 1,719,000, a notable increase of Kshs 521,000 from their previous home match against Mathare United, where they banked Kshs 1,198,000.
However, while the financial returns painted a positive picture, matters on the pitch were far less encouraging for the 1998 league champions.
The draw extended AFC Leopards’ winless run to two matches, following their shocking 2-0 defeat to Mara Sugar, a loss that ended their impressive 14-match unbeaten streak carried over from last season.
Against Murang’a Seal, Leopards had a golden opportunity to move second on the 18-team log and close the gap on leaders and record champions Gor Mahia to a point.
Instead, the stalemate left Fred Ambani’s charges settling for third place on 13 points, temporarily stalling their early-season momentum.
Leopards will turn their attention to next weekend’s fixture against Kariobangi Sharks.
