With three matches to play, Leopards will be keen to make good use of any possible slip-up by Gor Mahia and clinch the title.
Aware of what was at stake before kick off, Leopards skipper led from the front, twice testing Ulinzi Stars goalkeeper Ricks Omondi just two minutes into it.
Leopards had another opportunity in the fourth minute, but Kayci Odhiambo skied his free kick from a promising position.
Ulinzi quickly recovered from the slow start and would start asking questions in the Leopards area, particularly through Bonface Muchiri.
The military side would get a glorious opportunity in the 20th minute when Muchiri, but Humphrey Katasi made a point-blank save.
The 1998 league champions would take a lead in the 43rd minute when Madada latched onto a loose ball in the six-yard box before firing it past Omondi.
Second Half
Leopards picked up from where they left off in the opening half, dominating the early minutes of the second half but with no significant opportunities.
It wasn't until the 70th minute that the on-form Tyson Otieno took a shot at goal, but it was well saved by Omondi.
Their efforts would then pay off in the 82nd minute when Lwangu, from a thunderous header, doubled their lead and guaranteed three points.
