The leftback's contract at the club expires before the end of the month

AFC Leopards skipper Isaac Kipyegon is hoping his future at the club will be sorted admitting that a number of clubs have tabled offers for his services.

The former Zoo FC defender has been linked with a move to reigning league champions Tusker to sort out their left-back deficiency following the exit of Sammy Meja.

Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Kipyegon remained tight-lipped about his links to Tusker but admitted that he is yet to open negotiations for a new deal with Ingwe.

“I’ve only read about my links to Tusker online though my contract is soon ending, I have not opened talks with my club but I will honour my contract with AFC Leopards. No one from the management has talked to me about a new contract,”

“I don’t know what they (AFC Leopards) have to offer but I have a number of offers from different clubs. I however insist that I will honour my contract which expires this month and a few more days are left,” said Kipyegon.

Kipyegon has transitioned into a solid centre back at AFC Leopards and was handed the armband by head coach Patrick Aussems from Robinson Kamura who has since decamped to KCB.

The defender however revealed that he is open to extending his stay at the Den especially at the time when the club is still serving a transfer embargo imposed by FIFA.

“AFC is a big team, if they table a good offer I will not decline because AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia are clubs that people always wish to play for,”

“Leaving AFC Leopards would be a blow to the club during this period but that could be my opinion and the office could see it otherwise,” added Kipyegon.
