Van Nistelrooy won't be a part of the new coach's backroom staff
Ruben Amorim finally arrived in England and will take a hot seat in Manchester. Everything was done on his terms and so is his backroom staff. There were rumors that the Portuguese expert might keep the interim manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy as part of his staff. Reports from yesterday where that the two men will speak when Amorim arrives and that‘s what the new coach confirmed after his last game as a Sporting coach.
“He did a great job. I have to talk with him on Monday. Then I will explain everything. I am very clear and I will tell you like it is“ he said yesterday. Amorim was joined by his five assistants - Carlos Fernandes, Adelio Candido, Paulo Barreira, Emanuel Ferro, and Jorge Vital and after the landind of hte private plane, he was greeted outside the United‘s building by top brass - chief executive Omar Berrada, sporting director Dan Ashworth and technical director Jason Wilcox.
It's not just Carrington. It's home.

A warm welcome for Ruben Amorim at our training ground ❤️#MUFC
Shortly afterwards, the clubs released a short statement, confirming Van Nistelrooy‘s departure, which means that Amorim decided to start with a totally clean slate.
“Manchester United can confirm that Ruud van Nistelrooy has left the club. Ruud rejoined in the summer and has taken charge of the team for the past four matches as interim head coach. Ruud is, and always will be, a Manchester United legend. We are grateful for his contribution and the way in which he has approached his role throughout his time with the club. He will always be very welcome at Old Trafford. Rene Hake, Jelle ten Rouwelaar and Pieter Morel have also departed and we wish them all well for the future. We will confirm the full men’s first team coaching composition in due course“ reads the statement.

The former United‘s striker came back to his club in July, as a part of Erik ten Hag‘s backroom stuff and was obviously the logical choice for the interim manager role. He won three and drew one game while in charge and he is now leaving the club (again). Amorim will start working once his visa is obtained. He has 13 days to prepare for his first game in charge of the first team – a Premier League fixture away to Ipswich Town on Sunday 24 November.
