Arsenal lose to Hibernians (2-1) in a friendly tie played at Scotland on Tuesday

The Gunners never fail - to disappoint their fans.

It was the same even in today's pre-season fixture in Edinburgh against Hibernians, which deservedly defeated Mikel Arteta's side 2-1 at Easter Road. The hosts went two goals up before Emile Smith Rowe scored the consolation goal late in the second half.

Arsenal faced the Scottish side with lots of firepower in the lineup thanks to the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Willian. Still, it wasn't enough to make a stand against the die-hard Scottish side, which broke the deadlock twenty minutes into the game.

Arteta tried to shake things up a bit with half-time substitutes, including Thomas Partey and Nicolas Pepe, followed by Alexandre Lacazette, but instead of tying the game, the Edinburgh side doubled the lead.

Dreadful Gunners even managed to miss a penalty before Smith Rowe nailed it eight minutes before the final whistle for 2-1.

Arsenal's pre-season continues on Saturday when they face Scottish champions Rangers (16.00).
