Veteran striker made sure David Webb got quick medical assistance after an accident with the African player

Just when we thought we'd seen it all.

Legendary Jamie Vardy, who will leave Leicester City at the end of the current season, halted the Foxes' clash with Southampton on Saturday afternoon after referee David Webb suffered a head injury.

The ref accidentally collided with Jordan Ayew, falling to the ground. Therefore, Vardy decided to take matters into his own hands and react as a referee this time. He found Webb's whistle and blew on it to stop the match around the 30th-minute mark.

He made sure the 49-year-old official was feeling better before leaving him to the medics who had run onto the pitch. The game was halted for five minutes while Webb received treatment. After failing a concussion test, he was replaced by fourth official Sam Barrott.

Almost instantly, fans took to social media to comment on the thing, as it triggered a massive reaction from the crowd around the world.
