Before Morocco, the last African nation to win the U20 title was Ghana in 2009
Talented striker Yassir Zabiri scored a brace as Morocco won its first Under-20 World Cup title thanks to a much-deserved 2-0 win over Argentina on Sunday night.
Zabiri netted in the 12th and 29th minutes of the showdown to help the Atlas Lions become the first African nation to win the same title since Ghana in 2009.

It was the first loss in the tournament for Argentina, which was aiming for its seventh title.
Reigning champions Uruguay failed to qualify, after finishing fifth in the South American 2025 U-20 Championship.
