Marseille's Boubacar Kamara agrees to a move to Atletico Madrid
This could prove a stroke of genius. Atletico Madrid are poised to sign Olympique de Marseille's French midfielder Boubacar Kamara when his contract at Velodrome expires. The 22-year-old starlet wouldn't extend his stay in France - and Diego Simeone is set to capitalize.

The Argentine coach only wants a certain type of character to fill his dressing room: disciplined fighters. Simeone's team resembles an army and Kamara is seen as a perfect recruit - and at an excellent price!
The midfielder, who can also do a job at centre-back will add versatility to the Metropolitano team - some six months after Simeone initially wanted to sign him. Atletico had made an offer for the youngster in January, but Marseille stubbornly refused to sell, hoping that they could still convince their starlet into committing his future to the club.

Kamara is a very talented young man who’s been compared to Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante. Atletico are said to be prepared to offer Kamara $5 million per season to fend off any other interested clubs.
It looks like Atleti will try to scan the market for free agents when this season ends, but not all of their targets would prove attainable. They were keen to bring in Matty Cash from Aston Villa, but the Poland international right-back has now signed a new five-year contract at Villa Park.
Another player who is still in the running is Barcelona's versatile player Sergi Roberto. The 30-year-old can cover most positions in defence and attack and is a highly combative and experienced player - which makes him highly suitable for Simeone's brand of football.
