Former Reading FC winger Ayub Timbe has found a new in Japan, joining Vissel Kobe.
Kenyan international Ayub Timbe has ended his six-month stay without a club by joining Japanese side, Vissel Kobe.
Timbe parted ways with Chinese outfit Beijing Renhe back in August after ending his loan stint with English Championship side Reading FC.
The club is yet to unveil him with details of the deal still scanty but Timbe and reliable sources in Japan reveal that the deal is sealed.
Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Ayub Timbe was excited about his latest transfer, “I am just happy and ready for the new challenge."
Timbe joins Barcelona legend Iniesta who scored four goals last season and former Catalan duo of Thomas Vermaelen and Sergi Samper.
During the January transfer window, Timbe was linked with a move to South Korean top-tier side Gwangju FC but the deal failed to materialize.
The pacy winger was also reported to be on his way back to Belgium where he started his professional football career back in 2011.
The JMJ Academy graduate now joins fellow Kenyan Ismael Dunga in Japan who is on the books of Sagan Tosu.
He will hope to emulate compatriot Michael Olunga who had an impressive season with Kashiwa Reysol, winning the MVP award and the golden boot before moving to Qatari giants Al Duhail in January.
