The City Stars prodigy recorded an assist last Monday against Leopards.

Nairobi City Stars forward Mohammed Bajaber is a happy man after marking his first league start since joining the club at the start of the year with an assist.

Bajaber earned his maiden start for the club in the 1-1 draw against AFC leopards on Monday at Thika Stadium and was fortunate to repay the faith from the technical bench by teeing Timothy Ouma up for the goal.

Prior to the game, Bajaber who is on loan from Starfield Academy had managed back to back cameos against Tusker and KCB. Soon after creating the goal against Ingwe, the budding player paved the way for Rowland Makati who made his league debut, as coach Nicholas Muyoti sought to hand his fringe players the opportunity to showcase their talents at the top level.

“I am glad to have made my first start in the topflight and I am hoping I will have many more to come.I want to thank the coaches for having the trust in me to deliver. It is unfortunate though that we did not win in that particular game but I am happy to have contributed to the goal,” He told the club media.

Bajaber made his first league appearance against Gor Mahia in game week 32 as a substitute and ever since, he has never looked back.

The Midtjylland trialist tasted his first competitive minutes against Tusker last month, coming in on for Nicholas Kipkirui and would go on to rest the same player against the bankers.
