Juma has been on the sidelines after he tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in September, which necessitated surgery on his knee.

According to training photos shared by Bandari, the defender is captured going through his paces, albeit still on individual training, as he continues with the early stages of his field rehabilitation process.

“Guess who's back,” posted Bandari, accompanied by photos of the defender.

This follows a confirmation by Bandari FC head coach Ken Odhiambo on the defender resuming training a fortnight ago.

“Our captain, 'Roma' Andrew Juma, who had a knee injury, has begun his rehabilitation process. We hope he will be back to full strength soon to help the team compete better,” said Odhiambo.

In the absence of Juma, coach Odhiambo has largely paired Brian Odera and Swaleh Pamba or Shariff Majabe before acquiring former Gor Mahia defender Dennis Ng’ang’a in the mid-season transfer window.

Apart from Juma, Bandari have also been boosted by striker Shaban Mwachozi’s return to training after spending about three weeks on the sidelines.

Mwachozi joined Bandari in the mid-season transfer window from FKF Division Two side Rwafa FC, a window that the coastal side also acquired John Mark Makwata, Farouk Shikalo, Ali Halafu, Clifford Ouma and Ng’ang’a.

Despite the return of the duo, the Dockers will still have to wait longer for the return of centre back Edward Satulo and Ugandan midfielder William Wadri, who is set to be on the sidelines for about four months with a broken leg.

Bandari have performed below expectations this season and are currently ninth on the FKF Premier League table with 36 points, 13 points less than leaders Police FC, with coach Ken Odhiambo already admitting that they are out of the title race and will now be looking to finish the league in a respectable position.

The 2019 Mozzart Bet Cup champions were also eliminated in this season's edition of the tournament by Gor Mahia at the Round of 16 hurdle.
