Debutants Bidco frustrate prematch favorites Bandari at Mbaraki

Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF PL) debutants Bidco United have picked a valuable away point after holding pre-match favorites Bandari to a one all draw at the Mbaraki grounds.

Going into the match, the hosts were considered the preferred team for the maximum points owing to Bidco's injury woes as more than half a dozen of their players missed the trip to the coast.

However, they found the going tough after rallying from a goal down to rescue a point from the visitors who were seeking to redeem themselves from a 3-1 loss to Gor Mahia in their last match.

Bandari who welcomed their skipper Bernard Odhiambo from suspension found themselves trailing after former Harambee Stars forward Stephen Waruru gave Bidco the lead in the 68th minute.

The former Ulinzi Stars talisman who joined the Thika based club at the start of the season from KCB broke the deadlock from the spot to take his tally to two goals in the campaign.

The lead only lasted for a paltry six minutes as William Wadri send Edwin Mukolwe the wrong way from twelve yards to restore parity for the hosts.

Prior to kick off, Bandari head coach Andre Casa Mbungo handed veteran defender Duncan Otewa a rare start at full back left replacing the fast rising Siraj Mohamed who was missing in action.

Following the results, Bandari have extended their unbeaten run to seven consecutive matches.
