Barca in fear of Saudi offer Lewa won't be able to refuse

The Pole is happy at Camp Nou and the club is delighted with his displays, but... There's always something better

The Saudi Pro League is already star-studded, but that's apparently not enough for its clubs, as their offensive on some of the biggest European superstars has been ongoing for some time. Only in the current transfer window, Serie A top scorer Mateo Retegui, Theo Hernandez, Joao Felix, Alexandre Lacazette, and Roberto Firmino all moved to Saudi sides, and one massive name could join them soon.

According to Mundo Deportivo, several unnamed Saudi teams have Robert Lewandowski on their radar!

The Pole is satisfied at Camp Nou, and Barcelona are happy with his displays and contribution, but if the clubs from the Middle East go for Lewa, the Catalans can do little to stop them.

For one thing, the striker's deal expires next June, so this could be Barca's last chance to earn something from his transfer. On the other hand, a move to Saudi Arabia could be Lewa's chance to extend his career.

Namely, the Saudi Pro League isn't as demanding as top European leagues. After all, the 40-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo is still easily playing there, and he recently extended his contract for two more years. Lewandowski is 36, but his body is in excellent shape, and the interested clubs won't hesitate to offer him a three or four-year contract - something he can't expect at Barcelona.

The additional and critical aspect is the finances. Considering what Lewandowski brings both on and off the pitch regarding goals and marketing, the Saudis won't regret splurging money on him.

All in all, Blaugrana cannot stop Lewa from leaving if that's what he wants, but can try to earn as much as possible and thus "ease the sorrow." Mundo Deportivo claims the Catalans will demand €45-50 million, which is more or less the amount they paid when they brought him from Bayern Munich three years ago.

Finding a replacement for the Polish net-buster will be a crucial problem for the La Liga side. Last season, he bagged 42 goals in 52 appearances in all competitions and in total netted 101 times in 147 games for the club.

Lamine Yamal and Raphinha will stay and will have support embodied in Dani Olmo, Fermin Lopez, Ferran Torres, and the newcomer Marcus Rashford, but none of them can bring to the team that "killer instinct" in front of goal that Lewa can.
