Bayern doing some fine tunning against Bochum ahead of the PSG clash

The German giants should have no problems with the underdogs, which should allow Nagelsmann to do some experiments for the Champions League battle

That 4-2 statement away victory at Wolfsburg in the previous round was precisely what Bayern Munich needed to reclaim their title contention.

Those three draws in a row are now forgotten, with the Bavarians heading into the Bochum tie as the table-toppers.

However, they are just a point clear of the runners-up, Union Berlin, and another win is mandatory. Since they are facing Bochum at the Allianz Arena, it should be relatively easy for Julian Nagelsmann's slot.

With none of their rivals playing before them this weekend, Bayern have the chance to lay down a marker by beating Bochum at the Allianz Arena to ensure that they remain in pole position in the league ahead of a mouth-watering trip to the French capital to take on Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday.

After picking up just one point from their opening eight league games, Bochum appeared to have been struck by 'second season syndrome' having comfortably survived their first season back in Germany's top-flight for more than a decade.
