Bayern to Boateng: You are free to leave...for free

It’s been a wonderful relationship, but it’s time to move on, and we’ll always have our memories...that’s basically the point of the talks between Bayern Munich and the agent of their reliable defender Jerome Boateng. So, after 10 years and 21 trophies (with a possibility for two more until June), the German international with Ghanaian decent will leave the Bavarians as a free agent.

Two years ago, Bayern had the opportunity to sell the former national team player and World champion from 2014. Paris Saint-Germain then offered 35,000,000 euros. It was decided he has to stay. They had another opportunity to recoup some of the 13.5 million they paid to City, about seven months ago, but again the Bavarians said no. Now, he will leave as a free agent.
