Bronze medal at the World heroics and a dream contract: Malian Kaka is going to Barca!

Mali Under-17s captain Ibrahim Diarra has brilliantly finished his participation in the FIFA U-17 World Cup. The winger stood out in the third-place play-off in Indonesia, getting a goal and an assist in Mali's remarkable 3-0 victory over Argentina. The boys from Africa got bronze medals, and the boy nicknamed Kaka also sealed a transfer to Barcelona.

Diarra opened the scoring goal with a well-placed shot with his left foot while also providing the assist for the third goal that sealed the African team's victory. The versatile youngster, capable of playing as a winger or midfielder, concludes his participation in the U-17 World Cup with contributions in nine goal-related actions, scoring five goals and providing four assists. Diarra will officially join Barcelona in December 2024 when he turns 18 and reaches the legal age. Meanwhile, he will continue at his current club, Africa Foot, in the first division of his country. Mali has been one of the tournament's revelations, and despite losing to Spain in the group stage, they showcased their strength against La Rojita. Diarra has been the leader of a daring and powerful team that joyfully celebrated the bronze medal with the captain's armband on his left arm.

In the third-place play-off game, Argentina looked deflated after losing in the semifinals against Germany. The South American team barely put up a fight. Germany and France will play the U-17 World Cup final today. The same two teams decided the U-17 European Championship, which the Germans won.
