The law enforcers aim to become the second Kenyan team to qualify after Vihiga Queens
In a match that Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) champions would have triumphed had they not been wasteful upfront, Kenya Police Bullets opened their CECAFA campaign with a goalless stalemate against Yei Joint Stars.
The Beldine Odemba-led Bullets are making their debut on the continental front, featuring in the CECAFA Zonal qualifiers for the CAF Women's Champions League ongoing in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Initially, the team was set to play Warriors Queens of Zanzibar in their first Group A game on Saturday, but the opponent pulled out of the tournament, necessitating a reorganization of the fixtures.
Bullets aim to become the second Kenyan team to qualify after Vihiga Queens, who earned their ticket in 2021 when the qualifiers were staged in Nairobi.
Lucy Kwekwe created Bullets first real chance but nothing came of it; with Elizabeth Ochaka also going for goal with a header moments later, only to be denied by Yei's shot stopper.
Diana Wacera finally broke the deadlock in the added minutes of the first half, but she was ruled offside, seeing the match head to the break goalless.
Despite creating more chances upfront in the second half, Police were still unable to score, ending the match with a goalless draw.
Bullets play their next fixture against CBE Women FC on Wednesday 21 August as they look to register their first win and give themselves a chance at qualifying for the semis.
