Breel Embolo shines in the Swiss maiden game at the EURO 2020 against Wales (1-1)
Watch out for Breel Embolo! The 24-year-old Cameroonian-born striker displayed outstanding individual performance in today's 1-1 draw for his Switzerland against Wales in the second match of group A and the entire EURO 2020.
The impeccable forward scored a beautiful opener a few minutes into the second half of the tie played in Azerbaijan's capital Baku. Albeit he was fully marked in the opponents' box during the corner-kick, Embolo found just enough space to place a header straight into the back of the net for 1-0.
Breel Embolo has activated beast mode ????

It was not his only superb move of the game since he pulled off an incredible pass for a late substitute Mario Gavranovic, who even scored it five minutes before the end, but it was disallowed due to a blatant offside.
Young Embolo made many more accurate passes, gazed through opposing defence and deserves to be called the man of the match.
Embolo warned ya.

His main counterpart, famous Gareth Bale, couldn't do it all by himself for Wales, which lacked ideas and pace throughout the entire 90 minutes. However, brilliant set-pieces brought the game into a stalemate and provided them with - what could be - a vital point. Kieffer Moore was there on the near post, nailing it smoothly for 1-1.
From non-league in 2017, to a goalscorer at the EUROs...

Swiss forwards of Balkans descent Seferovic and Gavranovic had more than a few chances to put their side in front again, but their finishing was deplorable.
