The Paris Saint-Germain defender set up a late leveller for the Roma midfielder before the two staged one of the most hilarious scenes of the current international break

Even though the entire public in Morocco is focused on their "legal war" against Senegal over the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations trophy, the Atlas Lions began their preparations for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup with a friendly clash against another WC participant, Ecuador.

Following a goalless first half, the popular Tri threw the first punch only three minutes after the break, when the winger John Yeboah broke the deadlock.

The Atlas Lions quickly pulled themselves together, but luck wasn't on their side. In the 62nd minute, Ecuador goalkeeper Hernan Galindez stopped Neil El Aynaoui's strike from the spot, while Mohamed Hrimat's goal off a rebound was disallowed.

Still, the Moroccans did not lose hope, and the leveller came in the 88th minute over the Roma midfielder, who managed to redeem himself for a wasted spot kick, heading the ball into the net following Achraf Hakimi's corner kick.

However, the highlight of the night wasn't the goal, but the celebration. El Aynaoui rushed toward his captain and clumsily jumped into his arms, causing the two to bump their heads and nearly lose their teeth!

While the other players were laughing, El Aynaoui and Hakimi were checking if all their teeth were still in place, staging one of the most hilarious moments of the current international break.

Nevertheless, in the end, the most important thing is that Morocco avoided a defeat. By the skin of their teeth, though, but still...
