The Turkish defender was a regular for three years, helping Leicester lift the FA Cup back in 2021, but has since fallen out of favour at the King Power Stadium, featuring just once in the Premier League so far this season.
According to Talksport, the 29-year-old is now close to signing a pre-contract agreement with Atletico Madrid, as Cholo Simeone is keen to bolster his backline.
"This means he would head to the Wanda Metropolitano in July when he becomes a free agent, " sources have told Talksport.
At the same time, forward Matheus Cunha has already left "the building, as he joined Wolves on loan, while Joao Felix is linked with several giants like Arsenal and Manchester United.
