With survival still hanging in the balance, the dropped points represent a missed opportunity to create breathing space above the relegation zone
Harambee Stars defender Collins Sichenje was in action for his side, Charlton Athletic, on Wednesday night at The Valley in a rescheduled EFL Championship clash, continuing his steady integration into life in English football.

The lanky defender was handed a starting role against promotion chasing Ispwich Town, his second start in a row since returning from injury in the rescheduled clash, cumulatively marking his fifth start since arriving at the club earlier this year.
The former AFC Leopards centre-back once again justified the manager’s faith, playing the full 90 minutes in what is quickly becoming a consistent run of opportunities in the Charlton backline.
Since making the move four months ago from Serbia's FK Vojvodina , Sichenje has steadily adapted to the pace and physicality of the Championship.
He has featured in draws against Southampton FC, West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield Wednesday, while also experiencing a narrow defeat to Wrexham AFC prior to Wednesday's outing.
However, under the lights at The Valley, the night slipped away from the hosts despite a bright start.
Charlton raced into the lead inside the opening minute, with Greg Docherty reacting quickest to convert after an initial effort from Tyreece Campbell was spilled.
That early breakthrough, however, failed to settle the contest.
Ipswich Town gradually grew into the game and found their equaliser in the 36th minute.
Darnell Furlong unleashed a powerful strike from range, assisted by Azor Matusiwa, to restore parity and shift momentum heading into the break.
After the restart, Ipswich maintained their intensity and were eventually rewarded. A foul in the box by Macaulay Gillesphey handed the visitors a crucial penalty, which Jaden Philogene calmly converted to seal a 2-1 comeback victory.
For The Addicks, the defeat could hardly have come at a worse time.
With survival still hanging in the balance, the dropped points represent a missed opportunity to create breathing space above the relegation zone.
Despite the setback, Nathan Jones’ side remain six points clear of danger, though the margin offers little room for complacency with only two matches remaining.
Chasing sides, including Oxford United, remain within striking distance, ensuring that any further slip could yet complicate Charlton’s survival bid.
Attention now turns to a decisive fixture against former English Premier League side Hull City on Saturday, 25 April 25 where victory would all but secure their Championship status, while anything less could drag them into an anxious finale.
