The French-speaking custodian joined Tusker in February 2026 from Rwandan side, Rayon Sports
Pavelh Ndzila was far from surprised when he was named Man of the Match after aiding Tusker FC oust KCB FC from the 2026 Mozzart Bet Cup.
The Congo Brazzaville goalkeeper produced a moment of brilliance, saving David Sakwa’s penalty as Tusker edged KCB 4-3 in a dramatic shootout during the semifinal clash at Nyayo Stadium on Saturday, 16 May.

His heroics not only secured Tusker a place in the final against 2024 champions Kenya Police FC but also earned him the prestigious Mozzart Bet Humanitarian Cheque award, presented to a match's standout performer.
The accolade was Ndzila’s first since arriving in Kenya back in February following his move to Tusker.
By winning it, he became only the third foreign player to claim the award this season, after Bandari’s Cameroonian forward Amza Moubarack and Tanzanian striker Ibrahim Joshua, who is Ndzila's teammate.
While Ndzila did not specifically expect to win the award in the semifinals, he admitted it came as no surprise.

The goalkeeper arrived in Kenya with clear ambitions: to help the Brewers reclaim the Mozzart Bet Cup title they last won in 2016 and to earn individual recognition along the way.
“I came to Kenya to win titles, the Mozzart Bet Cup in particular, in my first season. I also had a dream of winning individual awards. Honestly, I was not shocked at all when they voted me the best player in the first semifinal match,” he told Mozzart Sport.

Weeks after receiving the Ksh100,000 cheque, Ndzila finally cashed it and, true to the spirit of the award, chose to give back to society through a charitable initiative undertaken last Thursday.
Ndzila purchased sporting equipment and visited the Nairobi East County League side Metro Youth FC in Mathare.
He toured the club alongside his compatriot and left back Servyl Akouala and Tusker captain Charles Momanyi.

He donated 12 footballs, two sets of kits, a set of markers, soccer boots, pairs of gloves, stopwatches and training cones.
Language was no barrier for the former AS Otoho goalkeeper, a French speaker, who expressed his joy after engaging with players from the lower tiers.
“I am happy to give back to a Kenyan grassroots club through Mozzart Bet. Since arriving in Kenya, I have interacted with many kind and talented players.
Coming to Mathare, which I am told is a breeding ground for talented footballers, means a lot to me. I hope some of the boys who play for this club will use this motivation to achieve their dreams,” said the former APR goalkeeper.
Metro Youth coach Anthony Indah thanked Ndzila for his generous donation to the club, noting that it will push them to close in on the two top teams in their league.

Currently, the team is placed third on the log, behind Mathare Flames and City Lions FC.
“We never thought that one day someone from Congo-Brazzaville would make a difference in our club. We thank him for choosing to donate the equipment to us.
We also thank Mozzart Bet for the humanitarian cheque, which is truly making a difference in smaller clubs. This visit and donation will definitely motivate us to finish the season strongly,” he said.
