Thanks to yesterday's 3-1 victory over Al Raed, Al-Ittihad won their jubilee tenth Saudi Pro League title, leaving behind their biggest rivals, Al Hilal and Al-Nassr

Even though he joined the Saudi football six months before Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo still waits for his maiden title in Asia and if the rumours about his departure come true, Al-Nassr's investment in the Portuguese may turn out to be "money thrown down the drain."

While Al-Nassr have been waiting since 2019, their rivals Al-Ittihad yesterday secured their jubilee tenth Saudi Pro League trophy!

The crew from Jeddah yesterday triumphed on the road against Al Raed 3-1, making an insurmountable gap in front of their first followers, Al Hilal, with two rounds to go.

Even though he didn't score in the crucial triumph, Benzema has been one of the key figures in Al-Ittihad glorious campaign, scoring 21 league goals this season. Cristiano will probably take the individual award for the best scorer (currently leads with 23 goals), but the Frenchman accomplished something his former Real Madrid teammate failed - he won the league!

This way, the team led by the famous Laurent Blanc from the bench and with names like Danilo Pereira, N'Golo Kante, Fabinho, and Steven Bergwijn - alongside the aforementioned Benzema - on the pitch, became the second most successful side in Saudi Arabia right behind the merciless Al Hilal, with one title more than Al-Nassr.
