What a match we witnessed at Selhurst Park—pure enjoyment for neutrals, and an absolute thrill for Crystal Palace fans, as they edged Liverpool 2-1. Meanwhile, Manchester City hit top gear in the second half against Burnley, cruising to a 5-1 win
In two fantastic matches—Crystal Palace vs. Liverpool and Manchester City vs. Burnley—we witnessed a flurry of goals, thrilling action, and a delicious strike in the dying moments of the game.
Crystal Palace took a narrow 1-0 lead over Liverpool in a first half filled with chances and solid goalkeeping displays.
The opener came early in the 9th minute. Ismaila Sarr capitalized on the chaos inside Liverpool’s box following a corner. The ball ricocheted off Gravenberch and fell kindly to Sarr, who calmly slotted it past Alisson to give the home side the lead. The goal is HERE!

Just two minutes later, Palace nearly doubled their advantage. Sarr was involved again, delivering a pass to Yeremi Pino, whose shot was brilliantly saved by Alisson, keeping Liverpool in the game.
From the 13th to the 19th minute, play was paused as a spectator fell ill, prompting both teams to send out their medical staff.
Liverpool responded with some chances of their own. In the 20th minute, Gravenberch struck well from the edge of the box after a rebound, only for Henderson to make an excellent save. Two minutes later, Munoz came close to extending Palace’s lead after a rebound, but Alisson once again denied him.

The remainder of the first half saw a flurry of opportunities from both sides. Mateta had a huge chance in the 23rd minute when he outsmarted Konate, but the Brazilian goalkeeper produced another remarkable one-on-one save. In the 28th minute, Isak rounded the goalkeeper on an assist but mishit his shot, sending the ball wide. Konate’s header from a corner in the 38th minute also went just past the post.
Crystal Palace remained dangerous, with Sarr involved again in the 40th minute after Worton’s impressive solo run set up a cross, though no goal followed.

In stoppage time, Mateta came close twice: first with a 25-yard strike that hit the post in the 6th minute of added time, and then with a volley just over the crossbar a minute later. Liverpool’s Salah nearly leveled it in the 9th minute of added time, finding himself nearly alone with Henderson, but the Palace keeper made a crucial save to maintain the 1-0 advantage.

Liverpool’s first notable attempt in the second half came in the 52nd minute when Cody Gakpo fired from around 20 meters, but his shot sailed wide of the goal.
Seven minutes later, Florian Wirtz created a dangerous moment, controlling a cross in the box and firing a powerful shot under the bar. However, Palace’s goalkeeper produced an outstanding save, tipping the ball away and forcing a corner.
Liverpool continued to probe, with Isak breaking into the box in the 64th minute. He made a promising run but could only direct his shot wide of the target.

In the 76th minute,Szoboszlai’s strike looked to create a real chance, as Salah arrived to connect with the ball, but his effort flew over the crossbar, leaving Liverpool still searching for a breakthrough.

Nobody can predict anything in the final 10 minutes of a Liverpool game anymore. After a scramble and a series of errors in the box, Chiesa fired a shot and found the back of the net. The goal is HERE!
It was the 97th minute, during one of the final attacks of the match, when the ball from a throw-in reached Nketiah, who fired it past Alisson, sparking an eruption of emotions at Selhurst Park. The goal is HERE!

Manchester City - Burnley 5-1 (1-1)
The first half of the clash between Manchester City and Burnley ended in a 1-1 stalemate, with both sides finding moments of promise but unable to gain a decisive edge.
City took an early lead in the 12th minute following a well-worked move down the left. Jeremy Doku’s shot was saved by Burnley’s goalkeeper, but in the scramble, Esteve was caught out and inadvertently bundled the ball into his own net. You can see the goal HERE!

Burnley nearly responded on the 25th minute, when Jeremy Doku again created a dangerous chance for City. Breaking through Burnley’s defense, he fired a close-range shot toward the left side of the goal, only for Martin Dubravka to produce a fantastic save to keep the score level.
Burnley finally found the equalizer in the 38th minute. Jaidon Anthony capitalized on a precise assist, arriving in a promising position and slotting the ball neatly past the goalkeeper at the near post. The goal is HERE!

City almost regained the lead just before halftime. In the 45th minute, Lyle Foster beat his marker to a cross inside the box, but he couldn’t control his shot, and the ball went well wide of the right post. Play resumed with Manchester City in possession, taking the teams into the break tied at 1-1.

The second half of the Manchester City vs. Burnley clash saw end-to-end action, with City eventually overturning the scoreline to secure a 3-1 lead.
City started brightly, with Jeremy Doku creating a dangerous chance in the 49th minute. He controlled a cross inside the box and fired a fierce shot under the bar, only for the Burnley goalkeeper to produce a superb save.
Burnley responded in the 56th minute when Quilindschy Hartman unleashed a powerful strike toward the left side of the goal, but the City goalkeeper was equal to the task, keeping the visitors at bay.
City finally broke the deadlock in the 61st minute. Matheus Nunes found space in the box and received a precise pass from Erling Haaland, slotting the ball into the bottom right corner to make it 2-1.

Burnley were then hit by misfortune in the 65th minute when Maxime Esteve inadvertently scored another own goal, further cementing City’s advantage.

Chances continued to flow for City. In the 70th minute, Erling Haaland rose above the defense to meet a cross from around 11 meters and headed toward goal, but the ball whistled just past the right post.
In the 74th minute, Tijjani Reijnders received a precise pass and unleashed a powerful strike from a promising position, only for Martin Dubravka to make a solid save down the middle.
Jeremy Doku again threatened in the 76th minute, weaving his way into the box and firing toward the bottom left corner, but Dubravka was once more equal to the effort, keeping the score intact.

As if the match couldn’t go without him, Erling Haaland managed to find the net in the 90th minute with a sharp and precise strike. The Norwegian didn’t stop there—he scored his second goal before the final whistle, putting the finishing touch on the match.
