The Australian Perth Glory and Seoul from South Korea didn't have a good time facing the Rossoneri and the Catalans, to say the least

It's safe to say that AC Milan's victory over Liverpool five days ago wasn't a coincidence, as Massimiliano Allegri has apparently managed to wake up the Rossoneri, who reminded their fans of the club's glorious days.

Milan's triumph against the Australian Perth Glory in a pre-season friendly match was undoubtedly expected, but a 9-0 win?! That doesn't happen often, even against amateur sides.

To make matters worse for Perth, Allegri sent a rather mixed lineup with only a couple of regular starters. Nevertheless, his team was 5-0 up already at the break behind Filippo Terracciano, Noah Okafor (2), Christian Comotto, and Samuel Chukwueze's goals.

In the second half, following a number of Allegri's subs, the Rossoneri netted four more times over Rafael Leao, who scored a brace, the newcomer Samuele Ricci, and Yunus Musah.

Before the official start of the season and the Coppa Italia clash against Bari (August 17), Milan will play two more friendly games against Leeds United and Chelsea.

Not far from Perth, in the capital of South Korea, Barcelona dismantled Seoul 7-3 in another intercontinental friendly clash.

The Korean side put up a good fight in the first half, managing to annul Barca's initial 2-0 lead provided by Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal, thanks to Cho Young-Wook and Yazan Abo Al Arab's goals. Still, Barca's 18-year-old wonder netted deep in added time to secure the Catalans' lead at the break.

The second period was a whole 'nother story, as Barca bagged four goals while the Koreans responded with a single one. Andreas Christensen, Ferran Torres (twice), and Gavi found the net for the visitors, and Jung Han-Min scored for Seoul.

Blaugrana's offence was, as usual, impeccable, but conceding three goals against a rival like Seoul - with all due respect - is not too pleasant. Hence, Hansi Flick and his lads will have to work more on defence and have a chance to show some progress in the remaining two friendly duels against Daegu and Como.
