A somewhat bizarre situation where participants of an event will have the chance to meet the mother of a popular footballer, have dinner with her, and all of it comes with a price list…
For a fee ranging from 150 to 800 euros, football fans are being offered the chance to dine with Sheila Ebana, the mother of Lamine Yamal.
"Don't miss the chance to meet the mother of the best footballer in the world", is the message featured on the invitation to the 'Football Fans Christmas Party' scheduled in London.
The gathering will take place on November 7 at the Nobu Hotel London Portman Square, where Ebana will host a high-end dinner accompanied by live DJ music. The evening is being organised by JEN C Events, who promise an elegant atmosphere and a festive experience for attendees.

"We are pleased to announce that early bird tickets are now on sale, and they are selling out fast! Get yours today and be part of the excitement!", JEN C Events promoted on social media, alongside a video of Yamal’s mother. The event will welcome around 400 guests, is for adults only, and will not feature the Barcelona wonderkid himself, who will be in action against Celta.
News of the event sparked mixed reactions in Spain, with some criticism directed at Ebana. Yet, former Real Betis player Benjamin Zarandona, also set to be present, clarified that she simply agreed to an offer.
"JEN C Events contacted me regarding the charity dinner they organise every year," Zarandona explained to Cadena Ser.
"They had seen me in a photo with Lamine's mum. As you know, I've had a friendship with her for many years due to our shared roots in Equatorial Guinea. The agency asked me if it would be possible to get her to London for a Christmas event. I said I'd look into it. That's it. We reached an agreement. They hired me as an ex-player and I contacted Sheila."
