Div One Zone B: Zoo FC ,Green Commandos continue hunt for promotion

The battle at both ends of Football Kenya Federation Division One Zone B Standings continue on Saturday with five fixtures on the card across the Western region.

League leaders Green Commandos face Muhoroni Young at Kakamega High School grounds seeking to open three points gap between them and the second-placed Luanda Villa, who are not in action this weekend.

Commandos, who have 49 points from 24 outings, are joint top of the league with Villa.

They lead the third-placed Zoo by three points although the Kericho based club have a game in hand.

Ahead of the crucial encounter, Commandos are oozing with confidence after their last week 3-2 comeback win over Sunderland Keroche that saw them, extend their recent unbeaten run to seven games.

On the other hand, the Got Alila based Muhoroni, have endured poor run of form recording victory one in their last four outings though Phelix Ogutu’s troops will look to build on mid-week win over Nyota FC.

Speaking ahead of the match, Ogutu expressed confidence in his team to humble the best squads in the league in remaining matches.

"We've had some bad run of results, our minds were concentrated on our sister club Wazito FC to at least book a promotion play offs slot now that we are done, we have embarked on serious work with the juniors and every team should be afraid of us. We're not leaving any stone unturned," stated the CAF B licensed coach.

Zoo FC will look to settle scores against a wounded Sigalagala Poly FC at the institution's ground with the former eying top spot in the event that, Commandos drop points.
