FIFA suspended the Football Kenya Federation, FKF from all football activities in February this year.

AFC Leopards chairman Dan Shikanda has urged the new Cabinet Secretary for Sports Ababu Namwamba to embrace dialogue to end the prevailing football stalemate in the country.

Clubs have grown weary of the musical chairs that have kept the game in stagnation without international participation.

FIFA have a tough stance on state interference in football management while government of Kenya has also adopted a tough stance on mismanagement of public funds which the ousted administration is accused of.

Shikanda said that the former Leopards official is best suited to bring order in the sports industry as he was the brainchild of the Sports Act.

"Where it has reached, all stakeholders should sit down and dialogue to find a way forward. No single person should say he/she has the solution, but together we can move forward," Shikanda told Mozzart Sport.

"Ababu (Namwamba) is familiar with the terrain, he is the one who championed the Sports Act, so I believe he's better suited to implement it and bring good management in sports in general," he added.

A day after taking office on Friday, the former Budalangi Member of Parliament engaged FIFA, the world's football body in a bid to see Kenyan football back on the global map.

"On my day 1 in office today I engaged FIFA on the phone to commence the process of resolving the impasse that has seen Kenya banned by the world football governing body. Government is committed to returning Kenyan football to normalcy in sync with the rule of law and public good," said Ababu.
