In the world of sports, sibling rivalries often drive athletes to greater heights. In the Kenyan football scene, there's a story of determination and aspiration that revolves around Duncan Omalla, a young striker with dreams as big as the goalposts. He's not just any budding talent; he's the younger brother of Benson Omalla, a name that resonates with football fans across the nation. In an exclusive interview, Duncan reveals his aspirations, his admiration for his elder brother, and his ultimate goal to make a name for himself in the football world.

In his own words, Duncan Omalla explains his motivation: "My brother has inspired me a lot, buys football boots for me, helps our parents from whatever we earn in football. We have a collective belief that our football talent will help us change the fortunes of our immediate family because we come from a poor background."

Duncan's determination to outdo his brother is evident as he declares, "I want to do better than my big brother Benson Omalla, and I tell him that every time we are at home together. He is now known in the whole country but I want to do better than him. He plays for Gor Mahia, but I am ready to sign for any top team after I finish high school and start my journey to the top."

Currently plying his trade with Manyatta United in the National Division Two League, Duncan made an impressive mark last season, netting 11 goals. However, he's quick to acknowledge his brother's superiority, saying, "He scored 26 goals last season while I scored just 11. He has already been called to the National team while I am still playing in the lower tier. He really inspires me, and my target is to do even better. His guidance is key to me achieving my goals."

Duncan Omalla's journey doesn't stop at being the best in Kenya; he dreams of playing professionally in Europe, taking inspiration from his role model, none other than the prolific Barcelona striker, Robert Lewandowski. With determination in his heart and a mentor in his brother, the young Omalla's star continues to rise, and the football world should keep an eye on this aspiring talent.

The 16-year old prodigy guided Kisumu's Obunga FC as they lifted the Safaricom Chapa Dimba Tournament Nyanza Region title over the weekend and he is convinced that they have what it takes to lift the National title early next year.

As Duncan sets his sights on the future, he carries the hopes and dreams of his family and a nation that loves its football. He's not just chasing success; he's chasing a legacy that could forever change the Omalla family's fortunes and inspire countless others to follow their dreams, just as he's doing right now.
