ECL playoffs draw: Ajax looking for season salvation near the Arctic Circle

The Dutch giants face Bodo/Glimt in the probably most interesting two-leg fixture

Ajax were having a nightmare season until recently, flirting with relegation in the Eredivisie. Thankfully for the Dutch giants, a series of victories brought them to fifth place, but still miles adrift of the leaders and archrivals, PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord.

Moreover, they were eliminated from the Europa League after finishing the group stage in third place. Therefore, they'll continue their European journey in the playoffs of the third-best competition - the Europa Conference League.

However, not even that hurdle won't be easy to pass for Ajax, as they were drawn against Bodo/Glimt. The Norwegian team, who play their games not far away from the Arctic Circle, will be a tough contender to beat. That one would probably be the most exciting clash in this ECL round.
