This follows the chaotic scenes witnessed during last weekend’s National Super League (NSL) clash against 3K FC at Gems Cambridge.

The match ended in ugly scenes after center referee Joshua Muthiga and other match officials were reportedly assaulted moments after the final whistle.

Following the incident, reports and analysis obtained by Mozzart Sport allegedly placed some members of the club management at the center of the chaos.

Mwakuluma, who parted ways with the club at the start of the current season under unclear circumstances, believes football administrators should be at the forefront of restoring order instead of escalating tensions.

Football administrators should be the people helping to bring sanity into the game and not participating in actions that make football look bad,” Mwakuluma told Mozzart Sport.

What we witnessed last weekend was unfortunate, and FKF must step in. I urge the federation to impose heavy sanctions because it will serve as an example to others. If any club officials were involved, then they should be suspended from football activities to restore discipline and sanity in the sport.”

The former club boss is also understood to have written to FKF Leagues and Competitions Committee chairman Peter Kamau ‘Kass Kass’ demanding strict punishment against some club officials.

“NEC, suspend the Kibera chairman and treasurer from all FKF activities for beating an FKF official. Suspend them indefinitely until investigations are completed,” read part of the message seen by Mozzart Sport.

He further proposed harsher penalties against the club.

“Deduct at least six points, fine the club at least KSh500,000 to cover medical costs and stolen items, and let them play at least five matches without fans,” he added.

Earlier, Kibera Black Stars CEO Eugene Otieno distanced the club office from the violence and denied allegations that club officials physically attacked the referees.

The youthful administrator instead claimed some members of the office attempted to shield the officials from the crowd during the commotion.

There was a point where we had to use our bodies as shields together with one of our data team members to protect the referee, but in the process some of us were also beaten. If anyone alleges that the office attacked the referee, then they must explain that because we are also waiting for the tribunal process.”

Match commissioner Bransan Mamati confirmed to Mozzart Sport that members of the refereeing team were assaulted during the incident.

“We were beaten. What happened was very unfortunate and tricky. Everyone was attacked, even me, although mine was minor,” Mamati revealed.
