As if it were destined, numerous current and former football superstars celebrate their birthdays today
If anyone asked you which date is a supreme birthday in the football world, you probably wouldn't know the answer. The question itself is quite odd, to begin with. However, believe it or not, there is a date that's superior to others.
It's today, February 5, and when you hear the names of superstars who today celebrate their birthdays, you'll see for yourselves.
First and foremost, two of the top five (maybe even top three) greatest icons of the 21st century, and arguably in the entire football history, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, turn 41 and 34 today, respectively.

The list of players who share their birthday with the Portuguese and the Brazilian continues with the former striker of both Manchester giants, Carlos Tevez (42), and the ex-Arsenal and Barcelona defender, the Netherlands captain, and the current assistant coach of Arne Slot at Liverpool, Giovanni van Bronckhorst (51).
Another Dutchman and Inter Milan centre-back, Stefan de Vrij, celebrates his 33rd birthday today, while the former Nerazzurri striker Rodrigo Palacio turns 44 on February 5.
The late patriarch of the legendary football dynasty, Cesare Maldini, would have turned 94 today, as another iconic former player, who played for both Barcelona and Real Madrid, Gheorghe Hagi, is entering his seventh decade.
Among the remaining "lesser-known" names born on February 5 are the former Premier League striker and Sheffield United icon, Billy Sharp, ex-Man United midfielder Adnan Januzaj, former Tottenham defender Vedran Corluka, and others.
