The induction ceremony, held on Wednesday, 8 October, was presided over by Mohammed alongside FKF General Secretary Harold Ndege, Leagues and Competitions Committee chairperson Peter Kamau, and National Referees Committee chairperson Caleb Amwayi.
Mohammed hailed the appointments as a milestone in strengthening football governance in the country.
"This is a significant step in strengthening the governance and integrity of Kenyan football as we officially inducted members of the FKF Disciplinary and Appeals Committees,” he posted on his X account.
The FKF boss said the committees will ensure that decisions affecting players, clubs, and officials are guided by fairness and the rule of law.
"These committees are vital in upholding justice, transparency, and accountability within the game. Their work will form the backbone of a football ecosystem built on trust and due process,” he said.
Kenyan football has in the past been rocked by governance wrangles, ranging from match-fixing allegations and club disputes to leadership crises that often end up in court.
The new move, Hussein added, is part of his wider reforms to restore confidence among players, fans, and sponsors.
The Disciplinary Committee will handle issues such as player misconduct, club disputes, and rule violations, while the Appeals Committee will hear and determine appeals arising from disciplinary decisions.
The FKF leadership believes restoring governance credibility will help attract more investors, sponsors, and international partnerships.
The unveiling of the committees is part of broader reforms that include professionalising football management, conducting financial audits, and promoting transparency in player transfers, all aimed at aligning Kenya’s football with global standards.
