Reading Time: 3min | Sun. 01.03.26. | 08:20

Leopards head into the match on the back of a 1-0 loss to KCB in midweek, while Shabana secured a last minute winner against Mathare United.

The FKF Premier League match week 23 continues with three matches lined up for today, Sunday 1 March, across different venues.

The much awaited clash between AFC Leopards and Shabana highlights today's fixtures, which will also see defending champions Police FC face Bandari, while Murang'a Seal tussle with Posta Rangers.

Ahead of today's games, Gor Mahia sit clear at the summit of the log with 49 points after securing a 2-1 win over Mathare United on Saturday.

K’Ogalo are nine points ahead of AFC Leopards and Shabana, who are their closest challengers for the title.

At the other end of the table, 2009 champions Sofapaka are bottom with 14 points and are joined in the relegation zone by Bidco United and APS Bomet with 17 and 19 points respectively.

AFC Leopards vs Shabana

Kenyan giants AFC Leopards will be seeking a return to winning ways when they host Shabana at the Nyayo National Stadium from 1600 hrs.

The fixture is one of the biggest and most anticipated matches in the league, perhaps only rivalled by the Mashemeji Derby.

This time, it will be spiced by the fact that both teams are tied on 40 points and will be out to outscore each other for second position while piling pressure on runaway leaders Gor Mahia.

Leopards head into the match on the back of a 1-0 loss to KCB in midweek, while Shabana secured a last minute winner against Mathare United.

The first leg meeting between the two sides ended 2-1 in favour of Leopards, with Shabana coach Peter Okidi promising revenge.

Police FC vs Bandari FC

At the Police Sacco Stadium, defending champions Police FC will welcome coastal side Bandari from 1300 hrs.

Police are currently fifth on the log, courtesy of their 2-0 midweek victory over Sofapaka that not only ended a four match winless run but also marked just their second win in 12 matches.

Bandari, on the other hand, drew at home with Nairobi United and will now be out to complete a double over the law enforcers and move up the table from their current seventh position.

Murang'a Seal vs Posta Rangers

In the other match of the day, Murang'a Seal will lock horns with Posta Rangers at St Sebastian Park from 1500 hrs.

Seal dropped to sixth with 33 points following a second successive midweek loss to Tusker and will be out to maximise home advantage and bag three points at the expense of Posta Rangers, who are on a nine match winless streak that leaves them 13th on the log with 24 points.
