Emotional EL Clasico triumph over Real Madrid seals back-to-back La Liga crowns as Barca dedicate victory to grieving coach

Barcelona sealed back-to-back La Liga titles with a commanding 2-0 victory over Real Madrid on Sunday night, but the celebrations carried a deeply emotional undertone for head coach Hansi Flick.

Despite learning earlier in the day that his father had passed away, Flick still chose to lead Barcelona from the dugout, inspiring both players and supporters on a night that ended with another league crown for the Catalan giants.

Goals from Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres secured the victory at Camp Nou, sparking emotional celebrations both on the pitch and in the stands.

After the final whistle, several Barcelona players admitted the team had been driven by the desire to win the title for their coach.

"It tastes like glory," said Pedri, who was named man of the match. "We wanted to win it in El Clasico and we wanted to do it for Flick, for everything he has given us and for the loss he suffered today."

Defender Eric Garcia echoed the sentiment, describing the day as "very difficult" for the entire squad.

"It has been tough because of what happened with the coach, but we knew we had to finish the job today," he said. "Those of us who grew up at Barca know exactly what this match means."

Flick himself spoke emotionally after the match, admitting it had been one of the hardest days of his life.

"I will never forget this moment," the German coach said. "It was a very difficult day because my father passed away, but the team was fantastic and I'm incredibly proud of my players."

Flick praised the mentality and commitment shown by his squad throughout the season and during Sunday's victory over Madrid.

"Everyone expected us to win, but Real Madrid are still a great team. We defended well, we played well, and the players gave everything."

The Barcelona coach also thanked club officials, supporters, and the players for helping deliver another league title, before ending his interview with an emotional "Visca Barca and Visca Catalunya."

Barcelona are set to celebrate their league triumph with an open-top bus parade on Monday, although it remains unclear whether Flick will take part as he is expected to return to Germany to be with his family following the death of his father.
