Harambee Stars-eligible winger, Clement Bischoff Mutahi, is on the verge of sealing a loan move from Austrian giants RB Salzburg to Dutch Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen as he looks to revive his career with regular first-team football.

According to Dutch outlet, Voetbal International, NEC have reached an agreement with Salzburg to sign the 20-year-old on a season-long loan with an option to make the transfer permanent.
Bischoff has already been scheduled for a medical in Nijmegen and is expected to be unveiled by Dick Schreuder's side once the formalities are completed.
Austrian newspaper Krone also reported that Bischoff was left out of RB Salzburg's latest pre-season friendly as his move to the Netherlands entered its final stages.
The Danish-Kenyan winger has emerged as NEC's top attacking target following the departure of Başar Önal to French Ligue 1 club Lille.

The Eredivisie outfit had also explored a move for PSV winger Couhaib Driouech, but the transfer is now considered difficult to complete, prompting the club to accelerate negotiations for Bischoff.
For Kenya, the move is of particular interest as Bischoff remains eligible to represent Harambee Stars despite progressing through Denmark's youth national teams.
The winger has featured for Denmark at various age-group levels and has earned 14 caps while scoring five goals for the Under-21 national team.

Born to Kenyan heritage, Bischoff is regarded as one of the most exciting dual-national prospects available to Harambee Stars.
Bischoff joined RB Salzburg from Danish Superliga side Brøndby IF in 2025 in a deal worth approximately €2 million (Ksh 295,600,000), signing a contract that runs until June 2029.
His first season in Austria showed flashes of promise. The winger made 24 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing five assists.
In the Austrian Bundesliga alone, he featured 15 times, registering one goal and three assists.
However, his campaign took a different turn following the departure of head coach Thomas Letsch.
Reports indicate that his relationship with successor Daniel Beichler deteriorated, with disciplinary issues resulting in the winger being excluded from the first-team setup.
Since April, Bischoff has reportedly been training individually, paving the way for an exit this summer.
The loan move to NEC now offers the highly rated attacker a fresh start in one of Europe's most competitive leagues.
Schreuder is understood to have played a key role in convincing NEC to pursue the transfer, with the Dutch club believing Bischoff possesses the pace, creativity and versatility needed to strengthen the left wing following Önal's exit.
While finalising Bischoff's arrival, NEC are also working on a deal for 18-year-old Bosnian goalkeeper Mladen Jurkas from Borac Banja Luka, although negotiations remain complicated.
According to Transfermarkt, Bischoff is currently valued at €3 million (Ksh 443,400,000), underlining the potential Salzburg still sees in the young winger despite his difficult first campaign in Austria.
