Former Kakamega Homeboyz striker Michael Karamor has revealed why he turned down offer from Muhoroni Youth for National Super League side Kisumu All Stars.

Karamor joined the Kisumu-based club in the concluded transfer window after falling out of favour at Homeboyz.

The Nigerian striker said his hunger for regular game time pushed him to settle at Kisumu All Stars whom he debuted for last weekend against Silibwet Leons at the Moi Stadium.

Karamor disclosed that Muhoroni bid for his signature in the window but turned down the offer for All Stars so as to quench his ravenous thirst for playing time.

Karamor who has been with Homeboyz for the past two seasons is not new to the Kisumu environment as he played for the defunct Western Stima in 2021.

“I haven’t been playing much in the last two seasons and therefore, I had to sign for a team that will guarantee me game time. Joining All Stars will also help me regain my form,” he said.

The former Sofapaka goal poacher trained with FC Talanta and Nairobi City Stars after leaving Homeboyz.

However, he failed to nail a place in ether of the top-flight sides and consequently, he moved to Kisumu.

Despite missing from the spot in the league opener, Karamor believes that he will be scoring goals at will in the second tier and help the club achieve its objective of the season.

“I tried my luck with City Stars and Talanta after exiting the Homeboyz camp. I know I will be scoring goals for fun in the league and hit my best form again,” he added.
