The multi-talented Kenyan artist has collaborated with Uganda’s Elijah Kitaka and Tanzania’s Phina to deliver what he calls a “global song” celebrating unity, football, and African excellence.
The anthem, whose release date is yet to be confirmed, promises a high-energy vibe as the continent converges for the prestigious tournament.
Phina, popularly known as "The Melanin Queen", shot to continental fame with her hit Sisi Ni Wale, which has amassed over 20 million views on YouTube.
Elijah Kitaka, a fast-rising Ugandan sensation, brings his award-winning vocals and dynamic stage presence into the mix.
Savara met with the team on the evening of Saturday, 2 August, and shared a sneak peek of the collaboration through his social media platforms.
“Honoured to meet and vibe with the national team (Harambee Stars) and present to them the official CHAN ANTHEM dropping soon. The song features Elijah Kitaka from Uganda and Phina from Tanzania.
Such a blessing to produce and sing such a global song. This is a season of WINNING. Let’s all come and celebrate the beautiful game PAMOJA. WIN WIN WIN WIN!!!!” he posted.
This is not Savara’s first music-meets-football moment. He previously hyped the crowd at Nyayo Stadium ahead of Kenya’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier clash against Gabon.
His involvement in crafting national football experiences through music is growing, mirroring a trend where sports and culture intersect more deeply.
The anthem announcement comes just days after another Sauti Sol member, Bien, paid a visit to Harambee Stars. He shared light moments with the players while his viral hit All My Enemies Are Suffering blasted through the team camp.
Harambee Stars will next face Angola on Thursday, 7 August. The Angola clash will be the first time in over a decade that Kenya will play under the floodlights on home soil, with kick-off set at 1900hrs.
The Benni McCarthy-coached side will then face Morocco on Sunday, 10 August, in a highly anticipated clash at 1500 hrs before concluding their group campaign with a match against Zambia on Sunday, 17 August.
