Odhiambo joins the record FKF Premier League champions on a free transfer after the expiry of his contract with Kenya Police, bringing an end to a successful four-year spell with the Law Enforcers.

During his time at Police, the pacy winger played a key role as the club lifted both the FKF Premier League title and the Mozzart Bet Cup.

Before joining Kenya Police FC, he also featured for Kakamega Homeboyz and Nzoia Sugar, establishing himself as one of the league's most exciting wide attackers.

The winger has now signed a two-year contract with Gor Mahia as the club continues to bolster its squad ahead of next season's CAF Champions League campaign following their league triumph.

A source at Gor Mahia said the club had tracked Odhiambo for several seasons and were delighted to finally secure his signature.

"David is a player whose qualities we have admired for a long time. He is explosive, fearless in one-on-one situations and possesses the pace and directness that every team wants in the final third.

His ability to stretch defenses, create opportunities and influence matches fits perfectly with the football philosophy we are building.

We are confident he will add tremendous value to our squad, and we look forward to seeing him wear the green jersey and contribute to our ambitions this season," the source said.

Odhiambo becomes Gor Mahia's latest acquisition of the off-season transfer window, joining goalkeepers Michael Onyango and Humphrey Katasi, forward Hansel Ochieng and midfielder Enock Machaka as the club intensifies its recruitment drive.

K'Ogalo are expected to resume pre-season training this week as they prepare for a busy start to the campaign.

The team is scheduled to travel to Rwanda for Rayon Sports' anniversary celebrations on Friday, 17 July, before taking part in the CECAFA Kagame Cup, which kicks off a day later.
