The club expects proceeds from replica jersey sales to directly contribute to sustaining football operations and enhancing player welfare

Record league champions Gor Mahia have confirmed that their new jerseys will be officially unveiled on Thursday, 25 September, just days after the 2025/26 Kenya Premier League season kicks off.

In a detailed statement signed by club secretary general Arum Nick and published on the club’s official website and social media platforms, K’Ogalo not only revealed the kit launch date but also addressed a wide range of plans designed to steer the club forward both on and off the pitch.

"Our new official kits will be unveiled on Thursday. Replica jerseys will also be available for sale, and we encourage supporters to stick to authentic club merchandise to help raise revenues to make the club better,” the communication read in part.

The unveiling is expected to attract huge interest from fans, with Gor Mahia once again urging its loyal supporters to prioritise authentic merchandise over counterfeits.

According to the club, proceeds from replica jersey sales will directly contribute to sustaining football operations, enhancing player welfare, and strengthening the youth system.

Alongside the kit launch, Gor Mahia reiterated its commitment to the e-ticketing system, which was introduced on April 22, 2025, and first used in their fixture against FC Talanta on September 24, 2025.

The club stressed that the digital platform is now the standard ticketing method, with no exceptions.

"The club will continue with the e-ticketing system. We strongly urge all fans to purchase tickets officially to directly support the club.

"Furthermore, management is finalising plans for a season ticket package to be launched soon. It’s important to emphasise that gates will be privatised, and no steward will be allowed to man the gates,” the statement added.

The introduction of season tickets is expected to ease matchday access while also securing more predictable revenue streams for the 21st league champions.

By partnering with private entities for gate management, Gor Mahia hopes to streamline stadium entry, reduce leakages in gate collections, and ensure fans enjoy a more professional matchday experience.

The communication also clarified Gor Mahia’s choice of home venues for the upcoming campaign.

The club will primarily use the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, with Nyayo National Stadium and Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay serving as alternatives.

Perhaps most significantly, Gor Mahia took the opportunity to address the issue of fan discipline, a matter that blighted their 2024/25 season.

The club’s otherwise strong campaign was overshadowed by hooliganism incidents during matches against Murang’a Seal in Machakos, Shabana FC in Kisii, Tusker in Machakos, and most notably, during the Mozzart Bet Cup final defeat to Nairobi United.

"We urge fans to maintain peace and exemplify the highest standards of good behaviour. One of our main goals this season is to win the league, secure a continental spot, and rebuild the youth structure. We have a solid team which includes committed players and new additions,” the statement urged.

Club officials underscored that responsible fan behaviour is not only vital for Gor Mahia’s image but also for avoiding sanctions that could impact on the club's financial status.

The upcoming season represents a quest for redemption for the 21-time champions. Gor Mahia finished second in the league last term, narrowly missing out on the crown to Kenya Police, while also falling short in the Mozzart Bet Cup final, where they lost 2-1 to Nairobi United.

This season, the club has set its sights on reclaiming domestic dominance and sealing a return to CAF competitions. With the statement signings of five Harambee Stars players Michael Kibwage, Bryne Omondi, Lewis Bandi,Siraj Mohamed and Felix Oluoch alongside Ghanian duo of Ebenezer Adu-Kwaw and George Amonoo.

Others are Muhammad Jagason, Fidel Origa,Veron Ombima and Reagan Omollo and a renewed focus on youth development, Gor Mahia management is confident of mounting a stronger challenge.

K'Ogalo will begin their quest for 22nd league glory with a fixture against Bidco United on Sunday, 22 September, at Kasarani Stadium.
