England stars look to blame the referee for the loss to Senegal
Harry Kane voiced his frustration over the controversial call that ruled out England’s potential equaliser against Senegal, insisting: “If you know the rules, it’s not handball.”
England fell to their first-ever defeat against an African team on Tuesday night, losing 3-1 after goals from Ismaila Sarr, Habib Diarra, and a late dagger in the 93rd minute from Cheikh Sabaly.
"It's a crazy decision" 🤔

Moments before Sabaly’s goal, the Three Lions thought they were level when Jude Bellingham poked the ball into the net during a chaotic scramble in Senegal’s box. The celebrations were short-lived. After a VAR review, referee Stephanie Frappart was called to the monitor and ultimately ruled the goal out — the ball had come off Levi Colwill’s arm, though unintentionally and not in the act of scoring, which typically wouldn't lead to disallowing a goal.
Kane, who had opened the scoring for England with his 73rd international goal, didn’t hold back in his post-match interview with ITV: “If you know the rules, it’s not handball… It would have got us back in the game at 2-2 and maybe we would have gone on and won the game, so it's quite a big moment.” He added, “But that’s something to discuss with them after.”

Bellingham’s frustration was clear at full-time. He charged toward the assistant referee to protest, then lashed out by kicking a cooler on the sidelines. Kane had to guide him back toward the pitch to regroup and show sportsmanship as Senegal celebrated.
