Clarke Oduor and his team, Grimsby Town, do not intend to stop killing favourites in the EFL Cup! Twenty days after they eliminated the great Man United on penalties in the Round of 32, the Mariners stunned another giant, the Championship side Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 on the road, reaching their first EFL Cup Round of 16 in 24 years!

The decisive moment occurred in the 49th minute when Grimsby's striker Jaze Kabia scored a winner with a perfect header following a corner kick. The visitors then skillfully defended the lead against the penultimate Championship side and recorded another gigantic victory.

This way, the Mariners became one of the first three teams to reach the Round of 16 - alongside the Premier League clubs, Brentford and Crystal Palace - but the first fourth-tier side.

Harambee Stars' international and Bradford City's loanee at Grimsby, Clarke Oduor, entered the game in the 79th minute and helped his team seal the deal and secure the triumph.

The remaining EFL Cup Round of 32 clashes will be played tonight and next week, while the exact date of the draw for the Round of 16 is still unknown.
