Harambee Stars defender Zak Vyner says Wrexham's pre-season tour of the United States presents the perfect opportunity to prove himself and earn a bigger role under manager Phil Parkinson ahead of the new campaign.

The Kenyan is targeting valuable minutes during the tour as he looks to impress the coaching staff and strengthen his push for regular first-team football.
Wrexham will begin their United States tour against Leeds United on 26 July before taking on Premier League champions Liverpool on 30 July.
They will wrap up the trip with a clash against Sunderland on 2 August, with all three fixtures expected to provide a stern test against top-quality opposition.
Having joined the Welsh club from Bristol City in January, the defender is expected to feature during the tour as Parkinson continues assessing his squad before the Championship season gets underway.

Speaking ahead of the trip, the former Bristol City defender said he is in good condition and eager to make the most of every opportunity.
"I'm ready to go, I feel good, and I feel fit," Vyner said.
The 28-year-old described pre-season as a crucial period for players looking to earn the manager's confidence, insisting every training session and friendly match offers an opportunity to stake a claim for a starting place.
"For me, it's about making the most of every minute on the pitch, showing what I can do and helping the team in any way I can. Pre-season is where you build your fitness, sharpen your game and give the manager something to think about before the competitive matches begin."
The defender has continued settling into life at Wrexham since completing his move earlier this year and believes the upcoming fixtures will be an ideal platform to continue adapting to the team's style of play.
Facing Leeds, Liverpool, and Sunderland will also allow him to measure himself against high-quality opponents while building chemistry with his teammates ahead of a demanding season.
