The 19-year-old has not played a game for his club since 30 May
Harambee Stars midfielder Stanley Wilson will miss a third-straight league game for AIK, after the Swedish club ruled him out of this weekend’s clash against GAIS at their home Friends Arena in Solna on Saturday, 18 July.

Announcing the squad’s status on Thursday, 16 July, AIK highlighted the 19-year-old Kenyan among a list of seven first-team players, who will miss the club’s first home game in over one-and-a-half months.
“Is [Stanley Wilson] in rehabilitation for a groin injury. Conducts rehabilitation in a gym,” AIK posted.
The development therefore extends Wilson’s time out on the field, this coming after the youngster had missed the team’s two other league matches following a month-long break in June.
Without factoring in the series of friendlies against Kalmar and Vasteras SK, Wilson, whose groin injury was confirmed just after his Harambee Stars against Lesotho on 7 June, has only missed two other league games this year; against Goteborg on 5 July, and Mjallby on 11 July.
The latest nagging setback comes amid what has been a tremendous campaign for the former Kariobangi Sharks player, who in early June was awarded with a new three-year deal expected to keep him at the club till latest 31 December 2029.
Having returned from a brief loan spell at AIK Football's partner club, Enköpings SK, Wilson has been a revelation for team head coach José Riveiro, who has instead repaid faith by transforming him from his central midfield position, to a regular starter at left-back.
In only 10 games this year, Wilson has come up with two assists, including one to settle a fierce Stockholm Derby against Hammarby on 24 March.
Joining him on the sidelines for AIK’s weekend match will be: Charlie Pavey, Andreas Redkin, Martin Ellingsen, Ibrahim Cisse, Sixten Gustafsson and Yannick Geiger.
