Mozzart Sport understands that the 25-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the side, who are expected to unveil him in the coming days.
The move, which has been in the pipeline for a couple of weeks, marks a major step for the former Kenya U23 midfielder, who will for the first time enjoy the luxury of formally playing for a club outside Kenya.
The development also comes as a reward for the tremendous run of form the former Vapour Sports Academy graduate has had, ever since making his move from AFC Leopards to Kenya Police in September 2022.
Having initially struggled to squeeze into the Law Enforcers starting eleven, Nabwire has been an ever-present figure for Kenya Police, and played an impactful role in helping the side navigate their early years in the Kenyan top-flight.
To signify his input, Nabwire was part and parcel of the team’s run of unprecedented successes, headlining a period that first saw Police clinch its first piece of silverware in the top-tier - the 2024 Mozzart Bet Cup - before breaking out to a career-best season to shepherd the side to FKF Premier League success in the 2024-2025 campaign.
In the latter season, Nabwire, who shot to the national scene after starring with Kakamega High School in 2018, scored a total of seven goals from his deep position in midfield.
It was that contribution that saw him earn a national team recalll by head coach Benni McCarthy, this after the South African had initially blanked him for the 2024 African Nations Championships (CHAN).
The former Ingwe captain would play a pivotal role in Harambee Stars’ run to the quarter-finals of that tournament, before embarking on another solid season for Police, leading them to a second Mozzart Bet Cup final in three years.
At Power Dynamos, Nabwire joins a team that is off the back of clinching a second-straight Zambia Super League crown, and preparing for a big season in the CAF Champions League.
With Nabwire’s signing, Aba Yellow are digging into the same well that saw them capture last season’s Golden Boot winner Moses Shumah, and fellow Kenyan international Emmanuel Osoro.
With Shummah exploring a different challenge at South African side AmaZulu, Nabwire will join Osoro as the second Kenyan at Power Dynamos for the 2026-2027 season.
