Harambee Stars prospect Tyler Onyango has made a return to League One side Stockport County on a season-long loan from Everton FC.
The 22-year-old’s move was confirmed on Monday, 1 September, linking him up again with a side he spent the first half of last season at.

Onyango, born to a Kenyan father and English mother, had taken part in Everton’s set of preseason matches last month, but did not play a single minute of Premier League football this season, having only made the bench against Wolves on Saturday, 30 August.

Confirming the arrival of the midfielder, Stockport County manager Dave Challinor said: "We are all delighted to be able to welcome Tyler back to the Club.
Since the start of pre-season our desire to get him back with us has been no secret, but we were understanding of Everton’s position and the necessity to keep him in with them.
Hopefully now he can pick up where he finished off with us the last time he was here - we are really looking forward to seeing him get started this time.”
Onyango’s last spell at The Hatter saw him play ten times, before sustaining a long-term injury in a victory over Forest Green Rovers in November.
His loan deal was therefore cut short, as he was forced to continue his recovery at his parent club, featuring for Everton's U21s side before the end of the 2024/25 season.
“The last time around it was cut short through injury, but I think we all saw the potential. We are looking forward to working with him again,” Stockport County CEO Simon Wilson said in a statement.
🗣️ "It's always been the plan to return, so I'm really happy to finally be here."

Onyango, who made his Premier League debut as a substitute in the final minute of a 3–0 defeat to Manchester City in November 2021, is said to have impressed the Stockport County coaching staff in the team’s 4-1 win over Reading last year.
At a recent Fan Forum, manager Challinor described it as one of the best individual performances he had seen in his time as a manager.
Onyango will hope to dazzle once more, and hopefully force his way into David Moyes’ squad when he returns to Everton.
