The player has already had successful trials and only remains to sign over the dotted line.

Former Kariobangi Sharks goalkeeper Brandon Obiero is set to complete his move to Posta Rangers before the 2022/2023 Football Kenya Federation Premier League campaign gets underway, Mozzart Sport can confirm.

Obiero, who ditched Sharks after the end of the 2021/2022 season, has already had successful trials with the club and the only thing remaining for him to become an official Posta Rangers player is signing over the dotted line which was delayed by the elections held in the country.

“I have already had trials at the club and everything was successful. I was supposed to have already signed my contract but the electioneering period caused a slight delay. I can however confirm I will sign a three year contract. Ranger offered me a good deal and I cannot wait to repay their faith in me,” the custodian told Mozzart Sport.

Obiero, who was named in the Harambee Stars provisional squad for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, is seen as a direct replacement to the experienced Jairus Adira who has since left the club.

Further, the club parted ways with Bryne Omondi who was on loan at Mathare United last season and joined KCB recently.

Besides Obiero, the rebuilding mailmen, who have also acquired the services of talented Daniel Oteno from Mathare United, are said to be hunting former Nairobi City Stars forwards Nicholas Kipkirui and Rodgers Okumu. The duo are currently free agents after leaving 'Simba wa Nairobi' following the expiry of their contracts.

The Collins Omondi coached side have already let go of four other players apart from Adira. Harambee Stars international David 'Cheche' Ochieng left the club after one season alongside Victor Majid, Timothy Wanyanga, Victor Ndinya and Joshua Nyatini who crossed over to Prisons FC in Tanzania.
