Villareal attacker Yeremi Pino scored three first-half goals for his team against Espanyol
Many eyebrows were raised in 2017, when talented youngster Yeremi Jesus Pino Santos refused the offer to join the famed La Masia, Barcelona's youth academy and opted for Villareal instead. It was to prove a masterstroke.
Even though there was a long road in front of the former Las Palmas trainee, the decision he's made with his parents to move to Villareal, a more family-like club was a wise one. Yeremi got a chance to develop without pressure, in a more understanding environment. The results are already here.

After a year of playing for Villareal's reserve side, Yeremi Pino made his senior bow for the Yellow Submarine in October 2020 under Unai Emery.
Today, this forward is a full Spain international and one of Villareal's best players. And he's still only 19!
Last year, Pino signed a new contract to remain with Villareal until June 2027. He was delighted to continue playing for El Madrigal club.

Although the club failed to qualify for the knockout stage of the Champions League, Villareal are currently fifth in the table and are in the chase to qualify for the most glamourous competition again.
Yeremi Pino scored a magnificent first-half hat-trick against Espanyol as his team raced into a 3-0 lead after the opening 45 minutes. A header, a left-footed and a right-footed goal made it a "perfect" hat-trick for the Yellow Submarine.
But that wasn't the end.
Less than ten minutes after the restart, our boy Yeremi got on the scoresheet yet again and made it FOUR.
